چکیده
Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related disease is a recently defined disease entity, characterized by high serum IgG4 concentration and comprised of a spectrum of systemic disorders, including Mikulicz’s disease; autoimmune pancreatitis; Riedel’s thyroiditis; sclerosing cholangitis; retroperitoneal fibrosis; tubulointerstitial nephritis; and lung lesions, such as hilar lymphadenopathy, pseudotumor and interstitial pneumonia [1,2].

IgG4-related intracranial hypertrophic pachymeningitis with skull hyperostosis: a case report
BACKGROUND Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related disease is a systemic syndrome, characterized by sclerosing lesions and usually associated with a raised serum IgG4 level; the pancreas, salivary glands, and lacrimal glands are typically affected. Recently, it has been suggested that IgG4-related sclerosing disease represents a subset of cases previously diagnosed as idiopathic hypertrophic pachymeni...

Immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a novel clinical entity characterized by elevated serum IgG4 levels and histopathologic features of storiform fibrosis, obliterative phlebitis, tissue eosinophilia, and infiltration of IgG4-positive plasma cells. Although it can involve almost any organ, IgG4-RD rarely involves the nervous system. The principal neurologic manifestations include hyp...
متن کاملIgG4-Related Intracranial Hypertrophic Pachymeningitis : A Case Report and Review of the Literature
Hypertrophic pachymeningitis is an uncommon disorder that causes a localized or diffuse thickening of the dura mater. Recently, the possibility that IgG4-related sclerosing disease may underlie some cases of intracranial hypertrophic pachymeningitis has been suggested. We herein report the tenth case of IgG4-related intracranial hypertrophic pachymeningitis and review the previous literature. A...

Dear Editor, Immunoglobulin G4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a recently recognized clinical entity characterized by elevated serum IgG4 and infiltration of IgG4-positive plasma cells leading to organ swelling or sclerosis.1 IgG4-RD may affect various organs, more commonly the orbit or pituitary gland than the nervous system. However, due to increasing reports on meningeal inflammation associated...
متن کاملImmunoglobulin G4-Related Hypertrophic Pachymeningitis with Skull Involvement
Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related hypertrophic pachymeningitis, defined as focally or diffusely thickened dura mater and lymphoplasmacytic infiltration with increased IgG4 bearing plasma cells, is a rare disease. Moreover, cases involving bone are even rarer. In this report, the authors describe a case of IgG4-related hypertrophic pachymeningitis involving the skull in a 65-year-old man presenti...
